DEBORAH L. HORAN, MSW, LCSW-C, has provided mental health services to individuals, couples, families and groups for more than a decade. Ms. Horan works collaboratively with clients -- as individuals, couples or families -- to help them explore issues and identify new ways of relating to and solving problems. Her clients include those struggling with depression and/or anxiety, trauma/abuse histories, relationship problems, grief, or difficult life transitions.

 She received her undergraduate degree in Education and holds a masters degree in Social Work.  She completed a 2-year advanced clinical training program at the Washington School of Psychiatry.

In addition, Ms. Horan has more than 20 years experience working on local, state and national polity affecting women, their families, and children. She has worked as a lobbyist, policy analyst, and consultant for organizations including the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the Family Violence Prevention Fund, the National Sexual Assault Resource Center, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. She has authored articles and monographs addressing violence against women and violence prevention. She is married with twin daughters.
